twigTwig Privacy Policy

Twig: Visual Habit Tracker is developed by Artur Janas. This policy explains how the Twig app and its supporting website handle information.
Your habit data
Twig stores your intentions, habit names, chosen paths, weekly targets, completion dates, tree growth, archived trees and settings on your device. This information makes the habit tracker work. You do not need a separate Twig account.
When iCloud is available and enabled for the app, SwiftData and CloudKit can synchronise saved tree records through your private iCloud database. Apple operates this service. Twig does not send your habit records to a developer-operated server or make them public. The developer does not have access to your private iCloud habit records.
Twig shares a local copy of the selected tree with its own widgets through an Apple App Group so the widgets can display your progress. This is not sharing with other companies or other users.
Purchases
Apple processes payments and subscriptions. Twig uses StoreKit to check verified purchase entitlements, enable paid features and restore purchases. The app does not receive your payment card details. Apple may provide the developer with sales and financial reports under its App Store services.
Advertising and analytics
The app does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, create advertising profiles, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites. It does not sell your habit data. Twig does not request access to contacts, location, photos, microphone or HealthKit data.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your saved trees remain until you remove them. Archiving a tree keeps its habits and history; it does not delete them. To delete a tree, open its settings, choose “Remove this habit tree” and confirm “Remove Tree”. Archived trees also have deletion controls.
Deletion of synced records is handled by iCloud and can take time to reach your other devices. Deleting the app alone does not guarantee deletion of iCloud data, device backups or copies retained on another device. You can manage iCloud storage and backups in your Apple account and device settings. Apple controls its own retention of purchases and transaction records. Deleting a tree or the app does not cancel a subscription; manage subscriptions in your Apple account settings.
Website and support
The Twig website does not add advertising, analytics scripts, contact forms or marketing cookies. Its hosting providers, OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare, process network requests needed to deliver and secure the website; these can include IP address, browser information, requested URL and request time. Their own service policies apply to that processing.
If you contact the developer, the information you choose to provide is used to respond to your request. The current support channel is the project’s GitHub issue tracker. Issues are public: do not include private habit history, account details or other sensitive information. GitHub processes information under its own privacy policy. Support correspondence is retained as needed to address the request and meet applicable obligations; public issues remain until removed under GitHub’s controls.
Your choices and questions
You can edit or delete your habit data in the app and manage iCloud through Apple’s settings. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal information, or to complain to your local data protection authority. For information held only on your devices or in your private iCloud storage, the developer cannot retrieve it for you. For questions about this policy, use the support channel above without posting sensitive details.
Changes and service policies
If Twig’s data practices change, this policy will be updated with a new effective date.
